1.) How powerful are the Two Way Radios available from Radio Warehouse? Generally 4-5 Watts, the standard for professional Portable Two Way Radios in Australia.
2.) What kind of Two Way Radio range can I expect? When using portable Two Way radios – the range achieved can vary greatly.
Portable Two Way Radio used outdoors? Generally it’s safe to say line of site or 1 – 2 kms though this is highly depend upon local terrain and environmental conditions.
Portable Two Way Radio used indoors? Coverage is highly dependant on the building structure. Typically you could expect good coverage for 2-3 floors in a building which comprises open workplaces.
3.) Can l purchase additional accessories and batteries at a later date? At Radio Warehouse we stock a range of additional accessories, batteries and chargers to suit our stocked Two Way radios and most other Two Way radio types just click onto 'The Shop' and you¹re on your way!
4.) Are the Two Way Radios already programmed? All of the Two Way Radios available from Radio Warehouse are preconfigured for use straight 'out of the box' with the standard 40 UHF CB Channels and the Radio Warehouse Onsite 16 Channels. The Two Way Radios are set to high power to maximise communication coverage.
5.) What does “Radio Warehouse Onsite 16 Channels” mean? In addition to the standard 40 UHF CB Frequencies we have programmed in all of the Two Way Radios we stock, we have programmed an additional 16 channels (Radio Warehouse Onsite 16). The 16 channels are comprised of specific UHF CB Frequencies with a special side tone, or to be technical, Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System - CTCSS. CTCSS helps to eliminate interference from other two way radio users in close proximity. 6.) Are the Two Way Radios l purchase, able to be reprogrammed? Most definitely! If you would like to have the programming reconfigured we can refer you to one of our professional Two Way Radio dealer in your area to assist you. Please note that in most cases, there would be a service charge applied.
